La presentazione questa mattina (1 giugno) all’Ippodromo alla presenza del sindaco Luca Salvetti, del direttore generale del Comune di Livorno Nicola Falleni, del direttore di Alfea Emiliano Piccioni, oltre ai tecnici del Comune che hanno lavorato negli ultimi tre mesi per la riapertura del Caprilli e degli addetti ai lavori.

Dopo le note vicende che hanno interessato la precedente gestione, il Comune di Livorno ha assunto il coordinamento diretto della stagione, insieme alla società pisana Alfea. L’ente storico, che gestisce l’attività ippica e gli impianti dell’Ippodromo San Rossore a Pisa, al Caprilli si occuperà dell’organizzazione della parte sportiva. L’obiettivo è quello di garantire la continuità dell’attività ippica e la piena fruizione dell’impianto da parte del pubblico.

Per assicurare il regolare svolgimento delle giornate di corse, l’amministrazione ha attivato le procedure necessarie per l’affidamento dei servizi tecnico-sportivi, operativi, logistici e manutentivi connessi alla stagione, avvalendosi di operatori economici specializzati secondo le procedure previste dalla normativa vigente.

In particolare, sono stati affidati i servizi relativi all’organizzazione tecnico-sportiva delle corse, alla predisposizione del libretto corse, alla segreteria tecnica, al supporto agli organi di gara, al fotofinish, alle riprese televisive, alla gestione degli ingressi, ai servizi veterinari, al maniscalco e alla sala fantini.

Sono inoltre stati predisposti ulteriori servizi necessari alla gestione operativa dell’impianto e all’accoglienza di pubblico, operatori e scuderie, tra cui sicurezza e presidio delle aree, rimozione e smaltimento dei rifiuti, supporto operativo alle giornate di corsa, preparazione dei box, assistenza alle scuderie e allo starter, noleggio dei bagni chimici, fornitura di materiali e attrezzature.

Anche le attività manutentive relative al verde, alle strutture e alla pista sono state affidate all’esterno. Il Comune mantiene le funzioni di coordinamento generale, indirizzo e controllo, in raccordo con i settori comunali competenti e con i diversi soggetti incaricati dei servizi.

Accanto al programma ippico, l’Ippodromo Caprilli ospiterà anche alcuni eventi collaterali, pensati per valorizzare l’impianto come luogo aperto alla città e capace di accogliere iniziative sportive, culturali e associative.

Il primo calendario degli eventi collaterali prevede venerdì (5 giugno) l’iniziativa con l’associazione Il Cammino di Santa Giulia e il gruppo Cavalieri del Pegaso; venerdì 12 giugno la serata dedicata a Saro Percoraro; venerdì 19 giugno la serata dedicata alle Gare Remiere Livornesi; venerdì 26 giugno la corsa Tris e l’esposizione di Harley Davidson a cura di 0586 Garage.

Il costo del biglietto di ingresso sarà di 5 euro; ridotto, pari a 3 euro, per gli over 65 e per i giovani dai 12 ai 18 anni; gratuito per gli under 12.

Il primo a parlare è stato il sindaco Salvetti: “Il Caprilli non è soltanto un ippodromo, ma anche il parco più grande di Livorno, uno dei motivi per cui l’Amministrazione lo ha recuperato dal degrado in cui versava dal 2015. Quest’anno il Comune si occupa direttamente della manutenzione dell’impianto ed ha affidato a professionisti del settore, la società Alfea, l’organizzazione delle corse e degli eventi”. Il Sindaco durante il suo intervento ha ringraziato il ministero dellaAgricoltura per il supporto e ha citato il fermento della città e degli operatori in vista della riapertura. Ha proseguito annunciando che la struttura ospiterà anche appuntamenti culturali (come Scenari di Quartiere), mostre canine e collaborazioni con realtà locali come l’Accademia Navale e il mondo del Palio.

Emiliano Piccioni, direttore della società Alfea ha lodato l’efficienza degli uffici comunali nel risistemare l’impianto in soli tre mesi e ha evidenziato il valore sociale del Caprilli come luogo di incontro per i cittadini. “Livorno è un tassello fondamentale per il galoppo toscano, colmando il vuoto lasciato dalla chiusura stagionale di Firenze e di Pisa. La stagione prevede 16 giornate di corse dal 5 luglio al 28 agosto, concentrate principalmente di mercoledì e venerdì. Le giornate principali sono il 12 luglio (Premio Livorno), il 14 agosto (Coppa del Mare) e il 28 agosto (Criterium Labronico). Si svolgeranno anche corse dimostrative di pony per bambini e una gara internazionale per amazzoni il 14 agosto”.

Piccioni ha segnalato che si attende l’autorizzazione finale dall’Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli per la gestione delle scommesse.

Nicola Falleni, direttore generale del Comune di Livorno ha concentrato il suo intervento sulla complessa macchina organizzativa che si è mossa dietro le quinte. “La sfida di riorganizzare il Caprilli in tempi brevi è paragonabile a quella sostenuta per la mostra di Modigliani. Mi preme sottolineare la collaborazione tra diversi settori comunali (sport, uffici tecnici, finanziari, gare e appalti) e l’importanza di essersi affidati a esperti del settore per garantire la riuscita della stagione”.

Nelle giornate successive, il progetto ha approfondito le fasi successive della filiera, dai controlli alla movimentazione e trasformazione del pescato, fino alla commercializzazione nei mercati e nella grande distribuzione.

La vittima aveva pubblicato un annuncio di vendita di un motociclo su un sito di e-commerce ricevendo nel giro di poco tempo riscontro da parte di un sedicente acquirente il quale, simulando interesse all’acquisto in nome e per conto di un’agenzia di cui si dichiarava titolare, si era informato sulla disponibilità del veicolo, proponendosi quale acquirente. Una volta raggiunto l’accordo sul prezzo di mille euro, il 55enne ha fatto credere alla vittima che si sarebbero incontrati personalmente per concludere la transazione ed effettuare il passaggio di proprietà e, nelle more, ha proposto di corrispondergli una caparra. A tale scopo, ha indicato al venditore di recarsi a uno sportello Atm postale dove, mediante alcune semplici operazioni, avrebbe ricevuto l’accredito sulla propria carta prepagata.

La vittima ha acconsentito e, una volta davanti allo sportello, ha seguito le indicazioni fornitegli telefonicamente dall’interlocutore le quali, asseritamente, gli avrebbero consentito di riscuotere quanto pattuito ma che, nella realtà, gli hanno fatto eseguire un pagamento di 590 euro, sotto forma di ricarica, al malfattore.

Resosi conti di quanto effettivamente accaduto, il giovane ha provato a richiamare l’ignoto interlocutore il quale però nel frattempo si era reso irreperibile.

Realizzato di essere stato vittima di truffa si è rivolto ai carabinieri di Cecina per denunciare l’accaduto e consentire l’avvio delle indagini le quali, seguendo il flusso delle somme oggetto delle citate operazioni ed incrociando tutti gli elementi raccolti, sono risaliti all’identità del presunto autore.

Quest’ultimo è stato denunciato alla procura di Livorno per il reato di truffa aggravata anche attraverso strumenti elettronici di pagamento.

Secondo quanto emerso in merito alla dinamica dell’incidente, l’anziana è rimasta accidentalmente ‘impigliata’ nei battenti della porta di un autobus in fase di chiusura. Questo imprevisto le ha fatto perdere l’equilibrio, provocandone il conseguente e violento impatto a terra.

Le conseguenze della caduta si sono rivelate subito serie per la passeggera: la donna ha infatti riportato la frattura degli arti inferiori. A causa dei pesanti traumi subiti, si è reso indispensabile e immediato il trasferimento della paziente presso la struttura ospedaliera livornese per poter ricevere l’assistenza clinica del caso.

rapeutics, Inc., a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing novel small molecule therapies designed to modulate RNA targets, today announced results from the twelve-month interim analysis of patients in its Phase 1/2 clinical trial evaluating SKY-0515, an investigational treatment for Huntington’s disease (HD). 

Treatment with SKY-0515 resulted in dose-dependent reductions in mutant huntingtin (mHTT) protein in blood of up to 69% as well as reductions in PMS1 mRNA of up to 26%. Mutant huntingtin is the primary protein responsible for HD pathology, while PMS1 is a key driver of somatic CAG repeat expansion associated with disease progression. 

SKY-0515 has demonstrated excellent central nervous system exposure and has been generally safe and well tolerated across dose levels studied. 

At three, six, nine and twelve months, patients receiving SKY-0515 demonstrated positive mean changes from baseline Composite Unified Huntington’s Disease Rating Scale (cUHDRS) scores ranging from +0.31 to +0.38. These findings compared favorably with an expected worsening of -0.92 points over twelve months from propensity score-weighted analyses which use Enroll-HD and TRACK-HD natural history datasets. Favorable trends for patients on SKY-0515 were also observed across all cUHDRS subcomponents, including Total Motor Score (TMS), Total Functional Capacity (TFC), Symbol Digit Modalities Test (SDMT), and Stroop Word Reading Test (SWRT).

Il tragico episodio si è verificato in una zona classificata come impervia e di difficile esplorazione, situata nei pressi di via del Crinale.

La macchina dell’emergenza si è mossa con il massimo spiegamento di forze. La centrale operativa ha inviato sul luogo della tragedia un’automedica e una squadra dei vigili del Fuoco, attivando in contemporanea anche l’elisoccorso regionale Pegaso per tentare un salvataggio d’urgenza. Purtroppo, la mobilitazione si è rivelata vana: una volta raggiunto il luogo impervio, il personale sanitario non ha potuto effettuare alcuna manovra di rianimazione, limitandosi a dover constatare l’avvenuto decesso.

Dal 1° giugno anche in Toscana entrano in vigore le nuove regole sui rimborsi dei pedaggi autostradali, pensate per compensare gli automobilisti che subiscono ritardi significativi durante la percorrenza della rete nazionale. La misura riguarda disagi causati da cantieri programmati o da blocchi della circolazione dovuti a incidenti, maltempo o altre criticità operative.

Il nuovo sistema è stato definito dall’Autorità di Regolazione dei Trasporti attraverso la delibera n. 211/2025 e introduce un principio di proporzionalità tra il pedaggio pagato e la qualità del servizio effettivamente ricevuto. In sostanza, quando il viaggio viene rallentato oltre determinate soglie, l’utente potrà ottenere un ristoro economico.

Le regole sui rimborsi dei pedaggi autostradali prevedono criteri diversi in base alla lunghezza del tragitto. Sui percorsi inferiori ai 30 chilometri il rimborso potrà essere riconosciuto indipendentemente dal tempo perso. Tra 30 e 50 chilometri sarà necessario un ritardo di almeno 10 minuti, mentre oltre i 50 chilometri la soglia sale a 15 minuti.

Per quanto riguarda i blocchi totali della circolazione, il ristoro sarà calcolato sulla tratta interessata. Con un fermo tra 60 e 119 minuti è previsto il 50% del pedaggio, che sale al 75% tra 120 e 179 minuti. Oltre le tre ore di interruzione, il rimborso sarà integrale.

Un capitolo importante riguarda anche la modalità di richiesta. In una fase iniziale, le domande dovranno essere presentate direttamente ai concessionari attraverso i loro canali digitali o numeri verdi. Successivamente sarà attivata una piattaforma unica nazionale che permetterà di verificare automaticamente i disagi inserendo la targa del veicolo.

Non tutti i casi rientrano però nel sistema dei rimborsi. Sono esclusi gli importi inferiori a 10 centesimi, mentre i rimborsi saranno accreditati solo al raggiungimento di almeno un euro complessivo. Restano fuori anche i cantieri in emergenza legati a incidenti, calamità o interventi urgenti di sicurezza.

Non saranno inoltre indennizzati i cantieri mobili nella fase iniziale di applicazione della misura, anche se i gestori avranno l’obbligo di informare tempestivamente gli utenti.
